Western Haematology and Oncology Clinic is owned by Montserrat Cancer Care, one of the nation’s leading healthcare providers, with more than 2 decades of experience caring for patients with haematology (blood) and oncology (cancer) conditions.
Our multidisciplinary approach to patient care means our team of Medical Oncologists and Clinical Haematologists work closely with other health services and health professionals for the benefit of patients.

Western Haematology and Oncology Pharmacy (WHOP) offers extensive inhouse expertise in providing pharmacological and pharmaceutical services to patients and staff of the Western Haematology and Oncology Clinics.
With over 40 years of Pharmacy and Oncology Chemotherapy practice experience to draw upon, you can be assured that the WHOP team will be at the forefront of oncology medication provision.

Meet Our Allied Health Professionals
Mary Scott
Psychologist
Mary has extensive experience in the provision of psychology services to people with chronic and life-changing medical conditions. Diagnosis and treatment for these conditions often causes significant distress and may have an impact on daily activities, relationships, physical well-being and life priorities. Mary provides a supportive, respectful and collaborative professional relationship to assist people to manage understandable emotional distress, as well as to learn constructive skills for managing the impact of serious illness.
Qualifications:
- Registered Medicare Provider: Mindful health Psychology
- Masters of Clinical Psychology from the University of Western Australia
- BA Honours, First Class, from the University of Adelaide
- Member of Australian Psychological Society
- Founding Member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association
In addition to her private practice at Western Haematology and Oncology Clinics, Mary works part-time in the Breast Cancer Service at a major teaching hospital. She works collaboratively with GPs, medical teams, researchers and complementary health practitioners.
Therapeutic approaches:
Mary draws on a wide range of evidence-based therapies including mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), brief psychodynamic psychotherapy and compassion-focused therapy (CFT). With 10 years’ experience in community mental health, Mary can provide treatment for mental health conditions triggered or exacerbated by medical conditions (e.g. anxiety and depression).
Jeremy Ingram
Exercise Physiologist
Physiotherapist
At the start of 2016, Jeremy designed and opened Western Integrated Health in Subiaco. They are a boutique family feel Physiotherapy Clinic and Rehabilitation Gym with a special interest in using evidence-based, targeted exercise therapy to improve overall health and function for patients living with chronic pain, chronic disease and cancer.
The clinic is equipped with specialised rehabilitation equipment which allows patients with complex health requirements to safely participate in targeted Strength, Cardiovascular and Mobility training in an individual and group setting.
Jeremy’s work with the Bendat patients primarily involves:
- Reducing pain and disability from cancer-related surgery
- Maintaining muscle mass and bone density for people undergoing oncology treatment and androgen deprivation therapy
- Reduce nausea and fatigue
- Improving mental health through individual and group exercise
- Maintaining overall functional capacity so patients can remain engaged in a meaningful life
- Using exercise immediately prior to chemo/immunotherapy with the aim of improving drug delivery to target cells and enhancing cell sensitivity to medications.
Prior to 2016, he had almost two decades of experience in the health industry in a variety of Physiotherapy & Sports Science roles, including senior positions at a number of Chronic Pain clinics and West Coast Eagles & Claremont Football Clubs.
In all these roles Jeremy’s focus has been on providing a high level of patient-centred care. He has enjoyed working as part of a multidisciplinary team and understands the importance of prompt and detailed communication with referring consultants.

Emma Slee
Dietician
Emma is passionate about the benefits of good nutrition, enjoying delicious food and optimising your health through what you eat. She aims to empower people to take control of their diet to maximise their quality of life and achieve the best outcomes possible. Emma has practised in the area of Oncology for the majority of her career, most of which has been in the hospital setting with inpatients. In 2019 Emma established Empower Oncology Nutrition to provide specialised dietary advice at the community level for those with cancer.
At Empower Oncology Nutrition Emma provides at home nutrition consultations. She understands that appointments can be difficult to get to and sometimes it is nice to see someone in the comfort of your own home or wherever you feel most comfortable. Consultations are also available on site at WHOC on request. For those living outside the Perth metro area, consultations are available via phone or videocall.
Key areas that Emma provides nutrition consultation on include management of nutrition impact symptoms, optimising nutritional intake, dietary modification following surgery, weight management and maximising overall health and wellness.
